Recipes: Georgetown Cupcake Chocolate Cupcakes & Frosting
I've been looking for their recipes for quite some time now but mostly I failed. I feel dumb though, because they can't actually just post their cupcake recipes in the internet. But when I found this post. I really feel excited ti try these. Even though I think that it's not exactly the same with the cupcakes they sell but at least the recipe came from them. :) Plus They also share a frosting and 10 different ways on change the flavor of one frosting recipe. Cool! Here's the recipe I found.
Georgetown Cupcake Chocolate Cupcakes
Makes 1 dozen cupcakes
Ingredients:
For the cupcakes
Ingredients:
For the cupcakes
- 1 1/4 cups flour, sifted
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, sifted
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 8 tablespoons (4 ounces) European-style unsalted butter at room temperature
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 2 large eggs, at room temperature
- 1 1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract, preferably Madagascar bourbon
- 1 cup whole milk, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup Valrhona cocoa powder, sifted
Directions:
For the cupcakes: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a standard cupcake pan with 12 baking cups, and a second pan with 6 baking cups.
Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt on a sheet of wax paper or parchment paper.
Place the butter in the bowl of a stand mixer or hand-held electric mixer. Beat on medium speed until fluffy. Stop to add the sugar; beat on medium speed until well incorporated.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing slowly after each addition.
Combine the vanilla extract and milk in a large liquid measuring cup.
Reduce the speed to low. Add one-third of the flour mixture to the butter mixture, then gradually add one-third of the milk mixture, beating until well incorporated. Add another one-third of the flour mixture, followed by one-third of the milk mixture. Stop to scrape down the bowl as needed. Add the remaining flour mixture, followed by the remaining milk mixture, and beat just until combined.
Add the cocoa powder, beating (on low speed) just until incorporated.
Use a standard-size ice cream scoop to fill each cupcake paper with batter, so that the wells are two-thirds full. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes (start checking at 15 minutes) or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean. Transfer the pan to a wire rack to cool completely.

Top Ten Hollywood Actor Crushes. ;>
I guess it's natural to have so many crushes given the that the men population of good looking actors in Hollywood were definitely increasing. So I came up with this list on my mind. Here are my Top Ten Crushes. Eeeee! :)
No. 10 Vin Diesel
I normally don't like bald guys. And guys that is so bulky. I haven't even seen his Fast and the Furious movie. But there's something about him that makes me giddy every time I see him on the screens.
No. 9 Chord Overstreet
I first saw him in Glee Season 2. And I was like, "Wow! Who's that blonde guy? He's cute despite of his big mouth.Haha! :)" And now, his dating Emma Roberts!! He is definitely included in my top ten. Haha!
No. 8 Robert Pattinson
I love him when his wearing those Ray-Bans. I love him as Cedric Diggory. Mostly, I love him as Edward Cullen. Enough said.
No. 7 Chace Crawford
Those blue eyes and perfect face. When you saw a face like that you would automatically like him.
No. 6 Alex Pettyfer
I think I have a thing for Guy that are Blondes. Haha! I find it sexy. That's why his included in my list. :)
No. 5 Ashton Kutcher
Ashton! His just so HOT! I see him as a romantic, wild and sexy kinda guy. That's why I like him. One thing I don't like about him is his wife. She's way to old for him.
No. 4 Chris Evans
Oh Steve! My Captain America. Haha! All I can say is "ANG GWAPO. SHIT."
No. 3 Channing Tatum
He can dance, do romantic comedy movies, action films so what's not to love? His like a total package.
No. 2 Ryan Reynolds
His been named Sexiest man alive last 2010. So him being not in my list would be impossible. Even though is named sexiest man alive last 2010, he would still be included in my list. He has everything I like in a guy. The looks, the height, the character, and specially his wittiness. :)
No. 1 Zac Efron
Zac Efron. He keeps getting hotter and hotter. Was that even possible? I know when you get older the hotness seems to diminish. But in Zac's case, it increases everyday. Haha! Ryan Reynolds should be my number one, but I can't help but put Efron on the top my list. His just to Hot to ignore. And I really Like him the first time I saw him in High School Musical. I believe people witness him evolve into a much mature Zac Efron now.
That's it. It's really hard to just choose ten crushes even though you know you have like 50++ crushes. Haha!

Two of my best friends in world visit me last Saturday to celebrate my birthday and to do some catching up. We hardly see each other even though we live like 30 minutes away from each other. But we communicate every now and then. Thank god for conference calls. :) Anyway, We never really plan on seeing each other last Saturday. But eventually it happens. The sad thing is, Kristine can't make it because of work so it's just Ana and Diane. Even though Kristine is not around we still manage to have fun. We ate early dinner. I cook for them. Hehe! :) Then we watch a movie as request by Ana. Then of course did some webcam-ing pictures. (I don't the right term) It's really one of the things we usually do. We promise that the next time we get together Kristine will be present. :)
Thank you guys for the Ice cream. They even ask me what flavor I want since they know that I'm a food lover I have a lot of favorite ice cream flavors. :)
This picture really is the best! It's one of Ana's dream to have a long beautiful hair, but unfortunately nobody is perfect. So Diane came up with the idea of putting her hair to Ana's shoulder to look like it's Ana's hair. Hahaha! :)
Wearing the puca shells anklet I gave them. Well, we pretended that it's a bracelet so we can take a photo of us wearing it.
Here are webcam photos. Yes, we love wacky shots! :)
One of my favorite shots. It seems like we're still in high school. Young and carefree!
We just found out that others are jealous to our friendship. Honestly, I find it flattering. I know that true friends are hard to find. At least I know I had found mine. :)

Happy Birthday Billy!
Last Thursday I have visited once again the town of Dasmariñas. I somehow miss the town where I spent four years of my life. Anyhow since I'm already in the place, I told my friends that we should get our alumni cards first before going to billy' house and so we did.
Yes, I'm a Lasallian. :)
After school we went to starbucks to waste time and to do some chit chat. :) Then we went to billy's house to celebrate with him his birthday. :)
Here are some of the photos.

Change is Gooood.
Being bum makes me spend my days in my room. Almost 20hours of the day. So I always make sure that my room is clean and my things should always in their proper places.
This Thursday, I went out because it's my friends birthday and a mini get together with college friends. I need to be at Dasmariñas by 10:00am and it's almost 8:30am I will be late. We have this deal, whoever is late will buy pastries at Starbucks. So I didn't get the chance to return all the things I used that morning into their proper places. I told myself that the next day I will clean my room and re-arrange it. Fortunately, I'm not late. Yes! :) (later I'll post a blog about our mini get together and Billy's birthday)
The next day, I was totally psyched to clean my room. NOT! I'm still exhausted because of yesterday's trip. But I need to because my girlfriends will visit me the next day. So, I start from taking out all the things inside my room. Then from there I start sweeping and moping. Here some of the photos.
I forgot to took some before pictures. So I'll just use the photo that's been taken weeks ago.
First. My desk. It's always a mess. So try to re-arrange it and, transfer some books and throw some stuffs. Specially the papers on my cork board. Its full of paper. It's a sore in the eye.
Second. My shoes. I transfer my shoes because I always step on it while I'm using the Laptop. Bad mannerism.
Third. Second Level. Its actually pretty neat, since it's boxes full of stuffs. The bow on the left is full of DVD's and three boxes on the right is also full with head/hair bands, lotions, perfumes, facial moisturizer, make up and the like.
Lastly. My bags. (Not in the Picture) When I saw my bags full of dust I'm really alramed! I love bags, I'm selfish when giving away my bags. I just don't wanna see them not taken care of. So I try to clean them up one by one and transfer it to a different place.
I put a mini carpet so I can sit there and read books and magazine. :)
That's it! After cleaning my room I have this proud feeling that my room looks different. It's more cozy than before. :)

BIRTHDAY CHALLENGE POSTPONED.
It's my birthday! And I've been receiving birthday greetings since 12 midnight. Yes! I'm touched! :) Anyways, I was suppose to do my Birthday Challenge today. Unfortunately my mom din't give me money and told me not to leave the house because it's my birthday. Filipinos are really that superstitious. So, I'm celebrating my birthday alone in our house. :( Thank God for Internet connection and TV series!

TUMBLR POST.
I can can't manage. I feel like I'm one of those people that shows happiness on the outside, that I can handle things but on the inside, I'm crushed. Broken into pieces each passing day. I need someone right now. A friend. I wanted to share my problems even to talk about it. I know my friends are ready to listen, but I don't want to share to them the burden I feel. I know letting it out somehow helps me to be motivated to solve those problems. But I just can't. Maybe it's my ego. I'm the person who my friends run into if they have problems, and know I need a friend to run into. I just can't run into me. *sigh* I use to tell one of my friend that letting it out somehow ease's the burden you feel. And now, I'm the one who needs to let it out. I know, Ironic.
I know this is just a challenge from God and I know I can surpass it.

Untitled.
I've got nothing to do on a Thursday afternoon. What a life! :| I'm tired of being a bummer. I wanted to go to a culinary school or to work maybe. All I do everyday is to wake up late, ate lunch because it's already 11:30am, go back to my room, surf the net, go downstairs to have a snack, go back the my room, surf the net, watch TV series or movie, go downstairs to take a bath and eat dinner, go back to my room, surf the net until I'm sleepy. That's my routine everyday. and I'm tired of it. I wanted something new. Every time I logged in on Facebook all I see are updates on friends experiences on their work. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for them. Promise! But I wanted to be happy for me as well. I'm really on my own now. It's my future, I need to do something now.
Ok! I'm supposedly doing something different today. That is to clean my cabinet. It's really MESSY. So, I told myself yesterday to clean my cabinet today, since my two sisters will go to their work and my nephew have school tomorrow; so, no distractions. But when I wake up, I have this feeling that I'm lonely. I don't wanna do something because I'm not in the mood. It's one of those crazy days I have. I'll get lonely when there's no definite reason. I feel that I'm drowning in my own sadness and I don't have any idea. All I really know is that I'm sad. So, I guess I'll just surf the net like what I do every day.

Birthday Challenge.
I LOVE FOOD! There's nothing new about that. So I wanted to challenge myself to go to different restaurants or shops and try some food on my birthday. And I hope my mom supports me financially. Hahaha! :)
I wanted to try Banoffee pie (of course!) and Chicken Breast Parmigiano.
I'm hoping to take home three more cakes that they offer so I can share it with my family. :)
If you want to download Bannaple's price list, go visit their page: www.banapplekitchen.com
Second, Happy Lemon. I'm not a fan of drinking tea. But the curiosity to try something new got into me.
Here's the menu of Happy Lemon.
I hope I'm happy as a bee when I tried those drinks. :)
Even their website looks wonderful. Haha! :)
Those are the cupcakes I wanted to try. Oh Good Lord! They really look good! I think i'll only eat three of those then I'll bring home the rest. :)
That's it. I need to visit three places on my birthday. Banapple and Happy Lemon is at Greenhills and Cupcakes by Sonja is located at Fort Bonifacio. I guess, my first stop will be at Cupcakes by Sonja to make sure that I can buy all the flavors I want. I'll pass by fully booked as well. :) Then Greenhills will be my last stop. I'm really excited for my birthday. I just wish my mom grants my birthday wish.
Goodnight!
First, I wanted to visit Banapple. It is known to have best cheesecakes and pies. Base on what I have read their Banoffee pie is a must try.

Second, Happy Lemon. I'm not a fan of drinking tea. But the curiosity to try something new got into me.
Base on what I have read, The must try drinks are Lemon Yakult and Green Tea with Rock Salt and Cheese. So, I guess I would try those two. Inspite of the gross combination of rock salt and cheese. But the thing is, how can I drink those two concoctions when I'm alone? Because my plan is to go solo fulfilling these challenges. :|
Cocoa with Rock Salt and Cheese |
Lemon Yakult |
Oh, there's Cocoa with Rock Salt and Cheese. I guess, I'll try that one instead of the green one. :)
Here's the menu of Happy Lemon.
I hope I'm happy as a bee when I tried those drinks. :)
Lastly, I wanted to visit Cupcakes by Sonja in Serendra. I've tasted Sonja's cupcake when one of my senior in Diamond Hotel gave me a red velvet cupcake, since then I've wanted to taste other cupcakes on their menu. Random fact, I even wanted to work there. It's one of my dream, working everyday in an heavenly delicious environment. :)
Even their website looks wonderful. Haha! :)
